So I’m looking at a Tatula 60th. Aniv. Mode 8.1 will be on Säle in the coming TW sale.

Im also looking at the Revo SX. 8.1. From BP on sale for 119.

Now both reels will be on sale for the same price. An need Help deciding.

Here is the kicker I have a revo X an a Tatula type-R absolutely love my Tat. Great reel. Revo leaves a lot to be desired. I was hoping the SX would make up for the X’s short comings. But I have $50 in cards for BP that would lower the SX to $79 Vs $119 of the Tat.

I have two options since I’m looking for a flipping/pitching rod as well. Plan was to buy Reel From BP an doybns 765 flipping rod from TW. Now I’m so confused, I was really looking forward to saving some money with the $50 card I have

There’s a not a question in my mind here, go with the Tatula 60th. I’ve never liked Abu and my SX leaved a lot to be desired. Consistency is a big thing for me. I’m all Daiwa aside from one shimano.

if you love your daiwa reel now and are uneasy about the abu, i'd say just stick to what you like. i swear by all of my daiwa reels

Just FYI - Sportsman's Outfitters has the Tatula 100 for $100, if you don't care about the 60th anniversary cosmetics.

This is easy. Take $139 and get a Lews Tournament Pro at Sportsmand Outfitters and spend ur gift cards on something else.

That tatula 100 is unbeatable at that price point.  The sx is a nice reel but I personally think there's no comparison to the tatula.  If ur not satisfied with the x dont buy the sx. Lil more braking option but otherwise no improvement.  Tatula 100 for the win....in my opinion.

Yeah I am waiting to see what the final price is going to be on the 60th aniv. from TW. I've spotted regular tatula 100's for 88 if you shop around.

Here is where I am at as of now looking at the Carbon lite 2.0 7'6" MH goes up to 1-1/2oz. (looking for a lighter flipping/pitching rod) With my gift cards I could get it for $39. pretty hard to beat at that price point I think. I would save it for tackle or something else but im pretty loaded up on that right now, wanting to fill a rod gap at this moment.

Figure worst case scenario I would have $149 (could be better depending upon the price brake) in both Rod an Reel. An yes I have decided that I am going with the Tatula why gamble when I know I will love the Daiwa.

I've fished the sx before and it has a very mechanical feel when you turn the handle, you can feel the gears. Where my tatula is just overall a smooth turn except for the play in the handle knob. The daiwa is hands down a better reel.

I'm not sure there's a single Abu reel I'd take over a Tatula.

Ditto here - though I'd like to have the option of a standard aperture rather than the T-Wing. Reason I'm sticking with the Fuego for now.

T-Wing looks and sounds funny but it makes a little bit of a difference, not as much as one would think though. We a Fuego can be had on Amazon and other places for $70 and a Tatula tends to maintain $130 I can't blame anyone for going Fuego. They're almost the same reel.

The only differences between the Fuego CT and the Tatula CT is 2 more bearings in the Tat and the T-Wing...they even use the same spool.

Oh - if you want to know where those 2 extra bearings are on the Tat? The handle knobs....
