Super User fishballer06 Posted December 9, 2019 Super User Posted December 9, 2019 This is a top notch, late January post and we're getting it here in early December. I'm rather impressed. Come on man, you have this awesome proprietary jig/spinnerbait head design. Sell it without the skirt and unpainted for those of us who like to build our own. Come on man, just sell me a cheaper crank/jerkbait without any hooks/hardware on it so I can put my own on there. Come on man, every casting reel should come with at least a 92mm handle. 2 1 Quote

Super User islandbass Posted December 10, 2019 Super User Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) Come on, man!! If you’re gonna powder paint your jigs, the least you could do is pop out the paint covering the hook eye for me. And to make things worse I have a jig buster but I can only seem to find it when I don’t need it. I know, I ought to look at them before going out, but come on. DomQ Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Come on man, they can make a scent to attract fish but not repel a bait monkey, so unfair. All soft plastics should come with a shell to keep them true!!! I'll pay more for that! Just sell the scorpion in canada so I dont have to go to some site I dont understand to get it! 1 Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Come on man, design me some horizontal rod storage that'll connect to a kayak crate lid. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted December 12, 2019 Super User Posted December 12, 2019 Come on man, design some vertical rod storage where the rods never get in the way of casting. Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Come on man! List the lure rating for your rods. Mostly for saltwater tho. I hate not knowing the lure rating. 1 Quote

Super User Paul Roberts Posted December 12, 2019 Super User Posted December 12, 2019 Fun thread. Agree this feels cabin feverish. Guess I'm in that mode now too, though, since I'm iced up here. My dad just sent me the Sigma 2200-035 I bought for him back in the 80s. It's still spanking new. Simple. Adequate quality (seeing my 030 is still cooking along). Love it. Anal? You bet. Also, buoyancy (along with diving depth) on diving hardbaits would be helpful: Positive, neutral, neg: -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3. More full-sized lightweight (1/4oz or less) lipless cranks. With true weights; You'd be surprised. "Sebile" (now Pure Fishing) dropped the FlattShad 1/2oz! Are they crazy???!! Some powerful fully Moderate action rods. I think they could take over the industry. Most hook manuf have gone this way, esp Japanese companies, but micro-barbs are fish savers. Cheap hooks with mega-barbs, like all we had in the old days- are just... barbarous. On 12/6/2019 at 10:04 PM, Bluebasser86 said: C'mon man! If I'm paying premium for tungsten sinkers, is it too much to ask for them to have the weights printed/stamped on them? I've seen a few with them, but not many. Honestly would be nice to see on lead sinkers and baits as well. Yes! 1 hour ago, MN Fisher said: Come on man, design some vertical rod storage where the rods never get in the way of casting. Mine hold four rods: Two at 45deg off back of holder, 2 vertical. ABS glued so rod tips point inward, keeping them out of the way of all casting angles except perfectly vertical. Works well for me. Never know they are there. (Except when a lure comes rocketing back at me.?) My yak has recessed rod holders just behind the seat, so it's an easy mod. 1 Quote

A minor challenge to reach... maybe 5 there sans the middle one? You do have more beam than my yak does. Just a thought. Quote

Sure - if I don't want to be able to work the TM...also I'll be adding another rod-rack to the starboard side since I now have 7 rigs with more in the planning stage. 1 Quote

TriStateBassin106 Posted December 15, 2019 Posted December 15, 2019 I'm not paying 8 dollars for something that rips in half during a cast after catching one fish. I will stick with a certain company that has a Y in it's name. 2 Quote

It's just not something that enters into my thinking when I'm shopping for rods now because I've done it this way for so long. Quote
