Ski213 Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 I agree with a lot of the above. Most of my c’mon man moments are when something I’m used to and works for me changes. Sometimes it changes for the better but a lot of times it doesn’t. Cmon man, if you’re gonna buy that mom and pop/small time outfit that has such a following just keep doing what led to that following. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. 14 minutes ago, A-Jay said: It's been 10 years plus - I'm out of the loop. But now that you mention it, I think I might know a guy . . . . Super User jimmyjoe Posted December 7, 2019 Super User Posted December 7, 2019 C'mon, Shimano! Get that tiny little adjustment wheel off your casting reels and put one on that's big enough to see and adjust easily! Daiwa did it, why can't you? And while you're at it, make your pawl covers accessible in the field (like the ABU reels) so I can keep the pawl lubed anytime. Also: bring back the lube port on your spinning reels, like on the Ci4+ FA series. jj Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 7, 2019 Global Moderator Posted December 7, 2019 C'mon man! If I'm paying premium for tungsten sinkers, is it too much to ask for them to have the weights printed/stamped on them? I've seen a few with them, but not many. Honestly would be nice to see on lead sinkers and baits as well. 14 Quote
Dirtyeggroll Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 C’mon man! Just make a simple affordable trolling motor that has spotlock and feedback/cable drive on the foot pedal without any of the other expensive tech junk that no one actually uses so you can keep it affordable. I don’t need the thing to make an unmanned trip to the moon, just to pull me around the lake and stay in one position when I want to. 13 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted December 7, 2019 Author Super User Posted December 7, 2019 Come on man! Don't just down size your existing baits so you can call them a ned rig bait. Come on man! Stop building Alamaba rigs so they are so large Search and Rescue buys them to drag for drowning victims. 3 Quote

First I like the no anti-reverse Shimano spinners - not a back reeler so that switch is useless for me. While I can pretty much echo most everything noted above, I'd like to see a True "Tangle Free" landing net that weighs in at something less than my boat anchor. The remainder of the items on my wish list come from the 'You Must Be Dreaming' category. So I could really use . . . New & Improved GoPro Batteries that last 4 hours each and recharge in 30 minutes. A 200 HP out board motor with a super charger on it, that runs on lake water. A Lund Pro-V Bass Boat made with a Carbon Fiber hull. A pocket size 'line infuser' that magically bonds braid & mono/FC leaders with NO KNOT: and at 150 % line / knot strength. A Soft plastic and especially a paddle tail swimbait, that's effective yet impervious to toothy critter attacks. A superior Cloaking device Incorporated into my Humminbird unit which would effectively make me invisible to all the jet skis and pontoon boats who once they spot me , invariably simply must come close by and visit. And finally, I'll need the new Minn Kota Bow Mounted Rocket Launcher, for those special moments when I really need one. A-Jay But if your invisible ...people will run over you when they see all the fish jumping or being tossed off to the side un naturally!!!! 1 Quote

When you’re out in the wind/waves digging thru tackle trays looking for just the right jig - sometimes a 1/2 oz tungsten jig head can look the same size as a 3/8 oz lead. I’ll admit to going home that night and putting jigs on a postage scale and marking them with a Sharpie for next time, but it eventually rubs off... 5 Quote
JediAmoeba Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 C'mon man don't offer 60 different reels - focus on a few and give us all the different gear ratios. Looking at you Daiwa and your growing lineup. C'mon man, it's great I now have a 25:1 gear ratio reel to reel in a spinnerbait in two turns of the handle but we could actually use some reels that have lower gear ratios for cold weather and crankbaits. 1 Quote
Super User NHBull Posted December 7, 2019 Super User Posted December 7, 2019 C'mon man, why can't you at least mark the mid point on a spool of line? 6 3 Quote

Super User MassYak85 Posted December 8, 2019 Super User Posted December 8, 2019 Most of mine have been said already. I think the only ones I'd add are... Come on man! If you're making a quality spinnerbait/jig at least put on a good trailer keeper? Come on man! If you're gonna package your baits in clamshell packaging could you at least make it so the packages stack on eachother so they don't take up as much space? 3 Quote

For real, my keitechs take up so much space. But a cheap trolling motor with spot lock is all I really need. Spot lock costs more than my boat Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted December 9, 2019 Author Super User Posted December 9, 2019 Come on man! Design a bass boat with a self driving feature so I can sleep while running the 30 minutes to the other end of the lake. Tesla owners are doing it. Why not me? Quote
Black Hawk Basser Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 C'mon Berkley, keep making the Havoc line of baits. Many are great and very affordable. 2 Quote
