Black Friday Order Possiblely Stolen

Well I come home from my part time job knowing that my order from Tackle Warehouse is awaiting for me, no package. Check tracking number and it shows it was delivered on front porch. Looked everywhere so I called TW and they said look tomorrow when I could see good around the house (dark when I got home) and check with neighbors. Well I checked good with a light and checked with neighbors, no package. TW said that they would start a claim with UPS and see exactly where it went, I think it was stolen. I assume that it was insured and that they would send me another shipment but I don't know, never had this to happen. I got a rod coming tomorrow and you can bet that I will be home until it is delivered.

We had/have a rash of porch Thieves during the holidays, and beyond. Ask your neighbors if they are at home during the day if they could keep an eye out for any deliveries you have, and if they could hold them for you..Hope you get this resolved..

Have packages held at the sorting facility and pick them up there

Wireless cameras are cheap and worth every penny. I have Arlos and love them.

Well I found my package and I found the thief, my daughter. My daughter came by the house while both me and my wife was gone. I suppose she thought someone might steal it on the porch and took the package home. I still don't know why she took it with her, she has keys to my house. She also forgot to call us and let us know that she has my order, KIDS!!!!  I  am just glad a real thief didn't take it. I am still staying home until my tomorrow order comes.

I've got 2 rods that have been "in transit to their destination", since the 30th. Haven't moved since then for some reason. I have a feeling if/when they're found by the USPS, they'll be in perfect condition (end sarcasm).

i have an order the same way. ordered another order from Bass Pro within minutes of each other and got the Bass Pro box 2 days ago by FEDEx. Got to love USPO pony express

I track all my packages whether it be FedX,UPS or USPS. The other night UPS delivered a package to me ,but tracking said it was 2 packages, confronted the driver, he said I need to track it, I told him tracking stated it was delivered 10 minutes ago. Asked if I checked the neighbors, I said no , he did and the package was there. Also driver spent more time on his cell phone then paying attention to the delivery.

I had this happen with a few rods I sold, and one I bought last year same time. 

 

Cause was weather, and time of year. Took longer than expected, but all rods reached destination in good shape.

Anyone else have packages from FedEx that are scheduled for delivery on a Saturday, but the package never shows up until Monday. The last two times that I've had orders from them on Saturdays, I stayed home all day waiting for it and then come Saturday night after no package arrives, the delivery date changes to Monday. Both times the tracking said it left on the truck for delivery Saturday morning at 5:30 am. I just know the next time I have one scheduled on a Saturday and don't stay home, it will actually get delivered and a porch pirate will ****** it.

 

And, another thing, they seemed to have stopped ringing the doorbell and just set my packages on the porch and leave. I live on the corner of a busy road, someone could easily ****** a package.

It is possible the rod is at your local post office.  This always happens to me on rods and other large packages- I have to pick them up at the post office because they often cant deliver them.  It never shows up on the delivery screen until a few days later for some reason that I need to go pick it up - but I learned my lesson after the first one.

The USPS isn't equipped like fedex or ups to deliver packages.

Wireless camera doesn't get your package back, unfortunately. 

 

I have a guy who bought something off of me currently going through something similar. Package was delivered, he's claiming that he didn't receive it and he's accusing me of shipping it to the wrong address. We've confirmed through USPS that I shipped to the correct address. So now he wants me to fully refund him and send him a replacement...

It’d take a pretty dumb thief to steal a package with a camera staring him in the face. Also a plus is our delivery drivers always set our packages down softly instead of trying their best LeBron impersonation.  And if a package is destroyed you have evidence it was broken before taking delivery. 
 

The cameras really come in handy during election season when those annoying folks show up at your door with pamphlets.

I am not arguing with you on the stupid thing!  But that is just one of those things you expect from a thief, they are all stupid.  I mean they put more effort into figuring out how to get away with something illegal, instead of just going and getting a job!  Lol

Most stores with merchandise have cameras that are visible yet people still rob them at gun point.

We get emails at work all the time asking for help identifying porch pirates from pictures taken off Ring cameras and other doorbell cams. If my boys were young enough to still be in diapers, I'd be putting out boxes with dirty diapers on the porch for anyone that wanted to steal some packages.

I like ordering items that get delivered by UPS. My son’s friend’s father is our local UPS delivery driver. He drops my stuff off before he finishes his route for the day. I am always home by that time to receive the delivery.

That "one piece" part is the big key factor. I'd never had a rod come in broken, then something like 3 of the last 7 have been DOA.
