I am going to the show on Friday as I always do. Some good seminars this year that i want to catch. Let's hope we don't' get snow to mess up everyone's plans. Quote

I've been around @Sam actually been doing pretty well winter fishing for bass....I choose my battles wisely and go when there is a warm temperature increase and they have been smoking the Jack Hammer chatterbait the last 2 months. Bill, I am strongly thinking of getting a Jack Hammer or two for our club's 2020 tournaments. Green Top keeps them behind the counter and you have to ask to see them. Thinking of a white/chartreuse and a blue/black. What do you thinK??? Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted January 4, 2020 Posted January 4, 2020 Anybody got a list of the seminars? None are listed on the website https://www.richmondfishingexpo.com/seminar-schedule/. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth fighting 95 traffic to make it on Sunday. I've got to make karate belt testing for my son Saturday. Definitely don't need more tackle, but this show has a way of lightening my wallet. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 4, 2020 Author Super User Posted January 4, 2020 Country, I saw a seminar schedule a few weeks ago. Seems the promoters may have had to make changes if some of the pros backed out. Keep looking and I am sure it will be posted in the near future. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted January 4, 2020 Super User Posted January 4, 2020 I've been a few times and never regretted it. But, then again, most Januarys are too cold for me to fish. If it's back in the 50's in a couple weeks, I may have better things to do. @Sam, the Jackhammers are certainly very, very good. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, get some from @Bluebasser86. Nearly as good, but a fraction of the price. 1 Quote

I started off with the BHite Delight color at $20 with green pumpkin razor shad trailer and have yet to change it. But I did find them online for $12.79 and bout 3 more. Bluegill, White, Black & Blue! Here in Richmond and been catching nothing but big bass over 4 and 5 pounds! 1 Quote

LSU Fan Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 If this Expo in Richmond is anything like the Expo in Raleigh everyone in Richmond are in for a treat. Living in Greensboro I would be in Richmond if I didn't already have a prior event. "Geaux Tigers!" Either one but mainly LSU!. 1 Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 17, 2020 Author Super User Posted January 17, 2020 Went this morning and said hello to Bobby Uhrig of MegaStrike and John Crews who gave me the "double secret bait" to use on local Virginia tidal rivers. David Fritts had a good seminar at the Oklahoma Bass Tub and introduced us to a couple of new baits that look promising. Going back tomorrow to get one of those heavy magnets to drag around boat docks and ramps to see what I can find. Overall, it was a good show. Smaller than in past years but still good. Quote
