Russ E Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Until this thread I have never heard of liver mush. It did not sound too appealing. Out of curiosity I had to do a google search. it still doesn't sound very appealing. Growing up in Iowa I have eaten a lot of pork, but there are certain parts of a pig that I prefer not to eat. If it appeals to you ,go for it. I will stick to the Iowa chops, pork butt, and bacon. 1 Quote
VolFan Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Its just like scrapple - if you've never tried it, you're missing out on a Southern delicacy. Crisped up on a griddle served with some fried eggs over easy...whooooeee!! That'll make your tongue flap so hard it'll beat your brains out!!! 1 2 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted December 10, 2019 Super User Posted December 10, 2019 Hunters or Jenkins Livermush is great eating! I usually fry it crispy, set it on some grits and put three over easy eggs on top. It's the breakfast of champions! 1 Quote
