My grandfather (who died in 1977 and had quit fishing several years earlier) swore a 6” Creme purple Scoundrel worm was the single best bass lure that existed.

Zoom Trick Worm, 3/16th Mustad Stand Up shaky head jig with a screw lock. I’ll pinch off about half an inch making it roughly 6”. Green pumpkin and June bug depending on water clarity, catches fish any day of the year.

I fish all sizes of worms . I fish the 4 inch lucky strike curly tail worms and the zoom speed worms a lot. The small sized trick worms work well too, but are hard to find at stores. I T rig them with a small split shot right above the hook.

The speed worms are my favorite at the moment. Not sure of the length but Probably 5-6 inch.

The Zoom Centipede has saved many a fishing trip for me. I also use Trick Worms, Shaky head Worms, and Grubs quite a bit. Any of them will catch you some decent fish.

I also like the Kalins 5" grubs. We t rig those. It's about the only plastic bait I use with a wide gap hook. I havnt fished the centipede for a while now. Probably my all around favorite has been the Zoom finesse worm. Academy has a good selection of those.Like all the plastics, there's a lot of them.out there.

I wish I could find someone to make one like Gene Larew's. They were 7 1/2", the head was about the size of a 1/4 oz bullet weight, the texture held up to 4-5 fish.
