TheUrbanAnglr Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 I want to wacky rig a 4" Gary Yamamoto Worm. Now what hook size do you preferred? A size #1 or 1/0 hook? Please comment below and help me out here folks. Quote
Super User WRB Posted November 29, 2019 Super User Posted November 29, 2019 Take a look flick shake rig that Jackall introduced about a decade ago. Tom Quote
jr231 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 I use the same 2/0 ewg hook i use to weightless Texas rig it. I've caught many bass this way when the worm was too torn to continue Texas rigging. Quote
Fishing_FF Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I used to carry #1 for 4” and 1/0 for 5”, but when I started consolidating terminal tackle, I tried using the 1/0 for 4”. Didn’t notice any difference, so the #1 hooks got dropped. Both were Gammy TGW drop shot style hooks. Being light wire hooks, there is very little difference between the weight of the #1 and 1/0. Super User Darren. Posted November 30, 2019 Super User Posted November 30, 2019 Either size will work. I primarily use 4" (+) worms for wacky, and I've used from #4 up to #2/0. The 1 and 1/0 are probably the sweet spot.... Quote
boostr Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 I like a #2 VMC weedless neko hook. Works great. now I have one hook for 2 purposes. Quote
