Sending good thoughts...

I was 36 when I got diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer a year ago. The tumor they removed was almost the size of a football and while that's scary enough, that's literally nothing next to what your son has to go through.

Every now and then you hear about people who survive beyond the odds. My aunt survived ovarian cancer 20 years ago when the 5 year survival rate was only 15% and she is still alive and cancer free today. So I can hope for both you and your son that he makes it through this okay.

Sending hope and prayers your way. I was diagnosed with stage IV lymphoma 2 years ago from yesterday at 31 years old. Life can be tough sometimes, but we can hope for the best.

Just got back from Duke yesterday and read this and lifted....gosh so sorry.  I can say I "somewhat" understand....today is a gift not to be taken for granted.  They took out 56 staples out of my head and we talked to docs for three hours.  Said in a nice way to get things in order.  I too have stage four Bastoma (short version) and they couldn't get it all but all hope is not lost....We just never know how long we are going to be on the good Lords entertainment committee.....

May your trip be blessed.

Tom you have my support for the best outcome with your son. If MD Anderson can't be of help check with University of Miami's Sylvester Cancer Institute in Miami. They have some cutting edge treatments & trials.
