JWall14 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Any recommendations. I’m open to up to $130 with discounts. Diawa Tatula 150?? Slx?? Quote
Tizi Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Tatula 150 of those 2 is better in my opinion. Quote
Grim_Reaver Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Daiwa Tatula 100 and 150 on sale for 99.99 and 109.99 on Sportsman's Outfitters website. Tatula 100 is SLX size and a little lighter. Just got a 100 from them and it is amazing for the price. 1 1 Quote
Shimano_1 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 I'm on a lews kick so I'd go with the tournament pro lfs for 139 from sportsman's outfitters. Of the ones listed tho that tatula 100 is pretty hard to beat for 99 bucks. Slx are nice reels but in my opinion the tatula is a much nicer reel. 1 Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted November 27, 2019 Super User Posted November 27, 2019 Being that I have 5 Diawa reels, 1.. Tatula Fuego, 2.. 100's 1.. 150 1..200, and a Fuego 2500 spinning reel. I'd say Diawa, they are really smooth out of the box. Years ago when Shimano reels were all made in Japan, you couldn't give any reel but a Shimano. Times have changed, there are some really good reels on the market. 2 Quote

waymont Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Either will make you happy. Both the Tatula 150 and the Curado K are super solid reels. I use both regularly. Here's the link to the $109.00 Tatula. Can't beat this reel for the price. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/daiwa-tatula-150-baitcast-fishing-reel?_pos=1&_sid=6d1b7e53e&_ss=r 1 Quote
rtwvumtneer6 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 If you're willing to spend $130, the SLX XT with SVS Infinity braking would be a solid choice right at budget. Quote
swhit140 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 I would recommend any Diawa or Shimano because I've used both, I don't think you will go wrong with either. I have 4 of the Daiwa Fuego CT reels and I've been very happy with them. There are a lot of different brands/models you can find in that price range, find the one that is comfortable for you. Be ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving sales and find a good deal. 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted November 28, 2019 Super User Posted November 28, 2019 The Tatula 100 at 99 bucks would pair up nicely with your Fury. Mine is on a Champion 734 1 Quote
kayaking_kev Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I have a Fury 703c and it balances perfectly with a SLX and a SLX XT. I would definitely get the XT if you could. Quote
FishinBuck07 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 My fury 703c is paired up with the Lew's tournament MB reel! But all of my fury's are paired up with that reel! Quote
Super User FishTank Posted November 30, 2019 Super User Posted November 30, 2019 Curado 70 or K https://www.another site.com/Shimano/Shimano-Curado-70-Series-Baitcasting-Reels or Daiwa Tatula SV TWS https://www.another site.com/Daiwa/Tatula-SV-TWS-Casting-Reel Enjoy..... Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted December 1, 2019 Super User Posted December 1, 2019 Does daiwa make a tatula without the t wing?? Quote
