Smallmouthkiller71 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Does anyone have a fair and honest opinion on if the new Daiwa Tatula Elite is worth the $80 more than a regular new Daiwa Tatula 100? If so for yes or no please explain why? Quote
Smallmouthkiller71 Posted November 19, 2019 Author Posted November 19, 2019 I know that. I apologize, I was asking if those differences actually equate to being $80 more. Will the average angler notice a difference to make $80 worth it? Quote
Junger Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Personals preference, is a Steez CT SV worth $500 more than a Tatula 100? For some yes. Quote
zell_pop1 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 To me Tatulas are already long cast reels, I would just stick to the CT or the 150 if you need the spool to hold more line and save a few $. Quote
bholtzinger14 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Just in case this helps at all. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/daiwa-tatula-100-baitcast-fishing-reel Quote
onenutinthewater Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I have the new elite and have had about all versions of the Tatula. I would say most certainly not much difference but im using them to throw 1/2 oz -1 oz salmon and steelhead gear. The CT works just as well for me. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 20, 2019 Global Moderator Posted November 20, 2019 I haven't tried the long cast but I couldn't imagine needing to cast further than I can with my 100. Quote

If you're not worried about casting distance, then the other aspects of the reel that make it better probably aren't going to be too pivotal in your mind. Quote

Good to know. I will probably just pick up another 100 then. Quote
