Anyone know any good peacock bass fishing spots near hard rock stadium

Peacock bass are thick anywhere below Ft Lauderdale. Hop on google maps and look for spots with shoreline access. Mark 5 or 10 on the map, hop in the car, and check em out. good luck!

Peacock bass can be caught in almost any freshwater canal in South Florida. Poppers, propbaits, jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits, and regular crankbaits are good choices.

Yup, I've caught whoppers as far north as Delray beach in Palm beach county. They like wiggletail lures too.

I've been wanting to go catch peacock forever! I live in Highlands county and my last attempt was a fail. There's just so many places and a lot of them don't welcome anglers. I think I will try again next week. My 10yr old son is begging me to take him.

Best time to fish for peacock bass is during warm weather. They will still bite in the winter (have caught them during cold fronts) but you might have to work harder compared to fishing in April-November. Use the lures I mentioned above in almost any freshwater canal in Miami Dade, Broward, and West Palm Beach counties and you should do well. You can also use live shiners if the bite is tough. 8-12 pound test mono is a good line to use for peacock bass.
