Super User fishballer06 Posted November 11, 2019 Super User Posted November 11, 2019 So I bought my toaster oven, heat gun, and some powder paint and tried my hand at painting my own jigs this weekend. I quickly realized why everyone says to get a fluid bed. Too much powder, too little powder, running during baking, clogged eye's, etc. etc... So I'm looking around online and a lot of the typical stores are wanting $100+ for a fluid bed. But I'm seeing Various one's on eBay, Amazon, Etsy, and such in the $35-50 range. What the difference here? These things can't be that expensive to make. Also, if anyone has any more tips or tricks for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted November 11, 2019 Super User Posted November 11, 2019 I built one for about $30. I got all my stuff at Walmart and Lowes. I have a tutorial on another site. If you will pm me your phone number I will see if I can text you a link. Quote

mc6524 Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 TJ’s tackle still has them for $40.00- $50.00 Quote
Will Wetline Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 Go with TJ's. The fluid bed works fine and the instructions with it are very helpful getting started. https://www.tjstackle.com/ Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted November 12, 2019 Author Super User Posted November 12, 2019 TJ's is who I was likely going with. They seem to have the best deal right now. Quote
onthewater102 Posted November 12, 2019 Posted November 12, 2019 I built mine from a few pieces of PVC. Couldn't have been much more than $20. Same idea as this guy in his youtube video 1 Quote
