My old 14 year old laptop started coughing today, so my daughter brought me a new one. I can't get over how good BR looks on this bigger screen. I have to catch up on using the new browser and new keyboard, but if the rest of the world looks as good as this as runs as fast as this, I might upgrade to some faster baitcasters. Heck, I might even take up Teepee living!

And I thought I was in the 'stone age' with my 7 year old netbook.

Though I'm normally on my desktop when cruising the board.

Small laptop - 10" screen, no CD/DVD drive. Back when most laptops got 3-4 hrs max time off the battery, HP came out with the Mini series. 7-8 hours off each charge.

Now you hold on right there! I can understand about the baitcasters, but a teepee with no refrigeration, no microwave, no furnace and especially no flush toilet ..... well, that's a picture that just won't stick!   ☹️  ?   jj

Replaced our 20 year old 54Mbps router today with a new, 1600Mbps router...Whoa! That made a big difference.

Yeah. I'm kinda tech-illiterate when it comes to computers, and I'm not afraid to stay that way. Every once in awhile, I have a problem. I call my son, who inevitably fixes it quite handily. He then says, "Welcome to the real world, Dad!"  I usually reply, "The world was already plenty real 40 years ago, when I was changing your diapers."  Then we both laugh.   ?  Kinda nice to have smart kids.    jj

Even at 60 (next week), I'm my own tech. Spent 20 years in IT in various positions, so I do know my way around a computer.

And you can only take my Windows-7 when I pass on. I HATE Win-10

14 year old laptop? Impressive. The Dells I’ve owned only last 2-3 years. I’m on my 2nd Thinkpad. The first lasted 7 years. Current one is on year 4

It was a Toshiba, I wish they still made them.
