8pt172 Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Has anyone tried the new Berkley x9? or the Spiderwire Ultracast braid? I have been using Suffix NanBraid and was curious how these new lines are fairing? Quote
waymont Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 What’s your idea of light braid? I use power pro 8 and 10lb with 8 and 10lb FC leaders and it’s incredibly easy to fish with. I love throwing a ned rig on a light action rod with 8lb braid. It’s amazing how sensitive it is. Almost no drag in the water. Quote

Johnbt Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 I've been using Ultracast Invisi-Braid ever since my buddy bought a huge spool of it 20 or 30 years ago and started giving it away. I primarily use 10# on 2500-series spinning reels without a leader. It breaks at 22 pounds or so. Quote
