Vin Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Fleet truck from auction? Looks like it's in great shape, much better than i'm used to seeing at the sales. I can't tell from the pics but if it's 4wd you got an awesome deal. -Vin Quote
northtexasfishmaniac Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 no we got it off a carlot the guy that owns it is one of my dads buddies and it's only 2wd Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 13, 2008 Super User Posted September 13, 2008 Decent deal for the truck. The fuel cost will hurt some. Quote
Land Surveyor13 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Nice one. That truck with the 7.3L will do better than any gas vehicle and get better gas mileage than any gas truck out there. Nice find. Most people don't realize the additional cost of diesel more than offsets the mileage gain you get over a gas vehicle. Enjoy it. Make sure and change the oil and keep up with the fuel filters and you should easily get another 200K out of it. JHB Quote
Jig Thrower Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Oh ya that thing will run for a long time if you keep up with oil and filters. I drive a 99 at work with over 200k on it and pull a 12,000 pound trailer and it doesnt seem to have any trouble, it also is a two wheel drive. Quote
bassdocktor Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Congrats. Anytime you get a new or new to you vehicle its always exciting. Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 20, 2008 Super User Posted September 20, 2008 Nice truck. It fits you like a glove and makes the statement that you are from Texas where real guys live and work. Not like a small Kia from New York City. ;D Quote
