Any reel world experience using one of these? Bait monkey is calling me out and thought i may give one a try for winter steel head. Either tossing 1/2 oz float or 2/5 oz spoons.

Any feed back from folks that have had one out?

I've only had mine out twice, but I love it. It is super smooth, casts and pitches very well.

I've been throwing mine since May. I love this reel. It's like a Curado K on steroids with the MGL spool. I'm likely going to buy another one over the winter.

Basically same as the SLX MGL with X-Ship pinion bearing and a red paint job.

It is not that bad, it is actually same as K with fancy spool, better paint job, better bearing and of course imported price lol.

I got my first one about two months ago. I now have three. Outstanding reels. I like them much better then the K. It is also head and shoulders above the SLX.

The SLX MGL is more finesse based based upon size of the frame and spool. The Scorpion MGL is more all around casting based.

Thanks. Forgot that The SLX MGL was a 70 size.

I was told the Scorpion MGL comes with a smaller handle than the Curado (unless you get the 8.5:1), Is that true?

Yes. It's 84mm vs. 90.
