onenutinthewater Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Any reel world experience using one of these? Bait monkey is calling me out and thought i may give one a try for winter steel head. Either tossing 1/2 oz float or 2/5 oz spoons. Any feed back from folks that have had one out? Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 31, 2019 Super User Posted October 31, 2019 I've only had mine out twice, but I love it. It is super smooth, casts and pitches very well. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted November 1, 2019 Super User Posted November 1, 2019 I've been throwing mine since May. I love this reel. It's like a Curado K on steroids with the MGL spool. I'm likely going to buy another one over the winter. Quote
The Bassman Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Basically same as the SLX MGL with X-Ship pinion bearing and a red paint job. Quote

It is not that bad, it is actually same as K with fancy spool, better paint job, better bearing and of course imported price lol. Quote

newyorktoiowa57 Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 i just ordered one so will report back in a week or two when It arrives. Quote
Fishingmickey Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I got my first one about two months ago. I now have three. Outstanding reels. I like them much better then the K. It is also head and shoulders above the SLX. FM Quote

The SLX MGL is more finesse based based upon size of the frame and spool. The Scorpion MGL is more all around casting based. Quote

Super User NorthernBasser Posted December 2, 2019 Super User Posted December 2, 2019 I was told the Scorpion MGL comes with a smaller handle than the Curado (unless you get the 8.5:1), Is that true? Quote
