I still have it. It's a unique rod. G Loomis SJR Mag Light action with an extra fast tip.

It's an amazing light action rod with a little extra beef, but it will still bend to protect 4-6lb line.

It's like 20 years old now. Loomis was ahead of the game with making extra fast action action rods.

It's still in beautiful condition for the thousands of fish it has caught. It's been on countless streams, rivers and lakes.

It's a beautiful smallie stream rod. Also my old G Loomis MBR rods. 6 1/2' and 7' rod that can do almost all of what I need to do.

These are definitely my favorite rods.

The same for me.  I have an old 782c GLX that I had DVT replace the guide train on for me this past fall, it's such an great rod that I felt it was worth sinking more money into.

I also have a pair of the loomis MagL/XFast spinning rods that I will never part with.  The 720s just sits as I cannot abide the reel seat, but someday it's going to be sent off to be stripped and rebuild.  I posted a thread a year or two ago asking about a comparable blank and no consensus was reached, so I am sticking with my old ones.

Shimano compre 5.5’ ultralight with a TX500F shimano reel.  It’s ultralight but a bit beefier than some so I find it more versatile than most ultralights. Bought both over 20 years ago with part time job $ as a teen.  Has been a deadly light combo for smallies and walleye for years. (And now ned rigs). When the combo was still fairly new, my wife and I were dating and we where fishing at the family cottage. The rod got pulled overboard while I was taking a fish off her line.  I was bummed out big time but really liked her and didnt want to make her feel bad by showing how much it actually hurt to see it go to the bottom. My dad went out the next day and by total accident while fishing the same area hooked the line on the compre and brought it back in. Crazy but true and While I have newer fancier stuff (and the girl still) now, that combo has been my all time favourite and made many trips since.

I really wish I still had my Team Daiwa X reel.  I bought it about 20 years ago and it was.used extensively and would still be in use had someone not stolen it.  Waaah.

All Star Classic ACL GT2 ... while not one of the more sought after All Star rods, its one that I learned to appreciate.

The rod was labeled for use with crankbaits but only brought me frustration when I attempted to fish them with it. Once I began using it as a jig rod, it really began to shine.
