Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted October 31, 2019 Global Moderator Posted October 31, 2019 Well I didn’t think even for Michigan it would be this early, but it’s time to fire up the winter weather thread. We are under a winter weather advisory, accumulation 2-4” by Friday am. ? The snow isn’t going to stick around, it’ll be gone by mid to late morning Friday. I’m still hoping to get a trip or two in yet this year. So what’s your winter weather conditions? Happy winter! 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted October 31, 2019 Super User Posted October 31, 2019 Well, we got predictions of a morning snow 3 days of the next ten. And starting next Thursday, we don't climb above freezing for a number of days. So ya, winter is definitely on it's way. The time to tear down the rods and do maintenance on the reels is fast approaching. Quote

Earlier than past years, you could’ve gotten out of this crap for a week. Quote

Great to get out of it but it can jack up travel plans like no bodies business . . . (No sure what that means but my MIL says it all the time . . . ) A-Jay Quote

Lol I thought she said “hood of snow”. Is she from Michigan? Maybe nobodies business is a Michigan thing, or a midwestern thing? I hear it all the time. Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted October 31, 2019 Super User Posted October 31, 2019 I woke up it was 36 degrees this morning, with it being sunny and in the upper 70’s this Halloween afternoon. Should make those first responders happy dealing with the fires up in the North bay. Quote

Super User soflabasser Posted October 31, 2019 Super User Posted October 31, 2019 Seems like winter came early for many northern states this year. Hopefully it will be a short winter so you guys do not have to deal with hard water for long. You can also fish a nearby river or other body of water that rarely freezes. Quote

There’s not too much around Michigan that doesn’t freeze, even rivers. Quote
