Jonas Staggs Posted October 21, 2019 Posted October 21, 2019 What type of lures do you guys suggest to use for fishing golf course ponds? Quote
Super User JustJames Posted October 21, 2019 Super User Posted October 21, 2019 Anything should work, I’ll op for weightless worm since golf course normally shallow. And if you can fish early or night try whopper plopper or jitterbug. Dont waste your money on senko, try alternative like yum dinger, strike king stick worm or BPS brand. Is this Golf course pond legal to fish? I remember when ninja fishing for catfish on golf course pond behind my backyard. I got hit within 10 second of my bait hit the water and hit after hit. 1 Quote

Super User Angry John Posted October 21, 2019 Super User Posted October 21, 2019 The keitech swimbaits rigged on owner weighted hooks are wonderful. A frog works well also. 1 Quote

I aint gonnna pay no $5 for the exact same baits just cause they are made by the name brand. In my neck of the woods, if you dont want pay for horrible fishing that is extremely over crowded, you must be a ninja. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted October 22, 2019 Super User Posted October 22, 2019 Chatterbait, wacky senko, t-rig creature, frog, popper 1 Quote
primetime Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 If I am fishing a golf course in the evening, I throw a J-9 Floating Jointed Rapala on 8lb test mono, medium spinning rod, and simply wake it slowly under the surface. It has worked from the time I was little. In the daytime, I feel like you can almost use anything depending on structure etc.....Hard to beat a Culprit worm, Speed Worm, or trick worm...Spinnerbaits always seem to work well on golf course ponds. 1 Quote
skekoam Posted October 22, 2019 Posted October 22, 2019 I've fished a few golf courses and caught all the fish on weightless senko. Just dragging it on the bottom. These are rarely fished ponds so I assume they will bit on almost anything. 1 Quote
