I have a 7ft. MH Lightning Rod Shock (with the split cork grips),it seems to have a softer tip but I was wondering if anyone knows for sure what action this rod is (Moderate-Fast maybe)?

I had a couple of them and I thought that it was closer to a fast action. The middle section feels pretty stout.

I guess but one would think they would have labeled the rods to begin with instead of just listing the power.

I have one.  its medium heavy 6'6" (no action specified as u mentioned) but its does have a real soft tip.... i think that's the whole "shock" part to lesson the stiffness of brain as the rod is marketed as "engineered for superlines".

id call the action moderate/fast maybe.  its probably leaning more towards medium as it casts 1/4 jigs pretty well.

*I have this exact rod (as well as the 6'6" Medium) ... Although I have not used the 7' MH extensively ,  I would say this rod operates more as a Fast than a Moderate / Fast as the other poster indicated - it is pretty stout (excluding the tip ).

The older 7’mh is more of a fast action. I have the newer version in 7’m mf and I’d say the moderate fast rating is accurate.
