I stopped by SC last week and bought a B Stock Legend X 6'8" MXF spinning rod.  I was looking for another good "all purpose" rod.  Does anyone else use this rod and if so have you been happy with it?

I used to use my 68mxf for dragging tubes for smallies.

Any reason you quit?

I own the Avid X 68MXF and use it exclusively for my weightless Senko rod. It does great even though it slightly hurts my hand.

I have the same rod and have not had an issue with my hand hurting but it awesome for weightless senkos and fat ikas.

Hook sets are easy and almost effortless.  I have to some times watch myself when setting the hook on this rod though.  I typically use 6lb FC and if I set the hook too hard, I snap the line.

Don't have the legend x but I have the avid x 68mxf as well. I use mine for general purpose. Drop shot (3/8 weight), small keitech, shakeyhead, fluke. Only thing I don't like about it is the guides since I like to use braid to flouro on my spinning setups

It broke and at that time, I started building my own rods.  I bought the blank, but never rebuilt it   I replaced it with a Rainshadow.  Recently, built a Rodgeeks 7'3" MH to fill the slot.

Is that the XS model? I love that blank for lots of things. Makes a great jerkbait n top water rod with the fast but soft tip.

It is.  It's quite versatile.  I could see it being a big water DS rod too, but I really don't need another one if those.

I'll be the 4th one to say I have the 68MXF avid x. It's my favorite spinning rod, perfect for most weightless or lightly-weighted plastics. Also fishes light jerkbaits and topwaters really well.

As for hands hurting, I actually find the meaty foregrip makes it my most comfortable spinning rod to hold.

In any case, I cannot imagine being unhappy with the Legend x version of this length and power/action.
