TcRoc Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Rain night before and crazy wind.. I could not find the fish.. made for interesting lure choices . Muddy to clean line of water Quote
Super User Sam Posted October 18, 2019 Super User Posted October 18, 2019 The conditions spell "d-i-a-s-t-e-r for fishing the day after the front moves through your area. Next day you will have blue bird skies and lockjaw bass. Wait a few days and go back out and the bass will be feeding again. Good luck. Quote
TcRoc Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Yeah.. I figured.. but I have had good luck day after rain before.. clean line was shallow figured they may have pushed that way.. they didn’t lol. That and you know how it is.... New Rod and Reel.. there could have been a hurricane .. We’re all out there making some casts Quote

Super User NYWayfarer Posted October 19, 2019 Super User Posted October 19, 2019 We had a “bomb cyclone” weather event here, Wednesday and Thursday. 20+MPH winds and close to 4” of rain. Today was overcast and high of 50 degrees. I braved the banks as the river was flowing strong. I looked for current breaks and was able to catch one small Largemouth. The local canal water flow was shut down so I was only able to get one Fallfish. At least I didn’t get skunked. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 19, 2019 Global Moderator Posted October 19, 2019 I love those mudlines. Fish sit in the muddy water and ambush bait swimming in the clear water. Basically the same as how they use a weedline. 1 Quote
Bigassbass Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Don't stop fishing just because of weather, nows the time to practice your real skills, finesse, slow down, different colors of bait, etc. Some fish are feeding on something most times and in fall you never know when one is there waiting to take your bait. I caught a 2lb crappie the other day after a cold front, caught it on a small brim jig! Quote
