Jonny15678 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Anyone ever use a chatterbait that didn’t vibrate or if it did vibrate hardly? I don’t think it’s my gear ratio on my reel but I’m not sure. Maybe I have a defective one.. Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted October 17, 2019 Super User Posted October 17, 2019 That is usually caused by the jig eye and/or snap binding on the blade. It's an easy fix most times. 1 Quote
YoTone Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 is the tag end of the tie interfering with the blade or maybe youre picking up too much grass? i highly doubt its anything to do with the reel. Quote
Fishin Dad Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 It has to be something with the connection of the blade to the jig or possibly something small lodged in between. Check that out or tie another on and see how it feels for comparison. I find all chatterbaits to run different, even among the same brand and styles. Some stay down better, vibrate better, etc. Quote

fin Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 With smaller blades, the type of trailer used can have an effect. Try removing the trailer altogether and see what happens. Quote
