I am an experience fisherman that mainly fishes one local lake here in Wi. (now) My lake is max. at 100 ft. Over the years in peak summer (now) I have noticed fish marks in 25 to 35' of water on two flat areas of the lake. Lake is clear with a lot of sand and rocks.  Based on my catches lotsa perch, pike and smallmouth. I have boated 3 s/m this year fishing shallow that were 18" .  I have spent some time with a crawler drop shot without any bites in these deep areas.  I plan to stay with this program unless I find something else to try.  Any ideas? Thanks

I'd recommend something with some kind of a thump to simulate life at depths with very little light penetration, most of the deep fish I have ever gotten had at least a moderate amount of action to them, and the bites seem always to come when the movement is going on, if you want to spare yourself the obscene deep cranking costs, you can use a jointed structure head (or whatever the other companies call them) and a soft plastic to bump the bottom with similar results to the more expensive options, just switch between beaver style up to something crazy like a rage craw until you get bit a few times then wear them out
