First time for me fishing the Zara One Knocker Spook. I bought one in the bone color. I like it, and seems to walk a little easier than my old ones

How did it work for you?

I caught my first bass on a full-size regular Spook in more than 10 years last Saturday. It's a lure that i really love to fish, but I've all but replaced it with the Pop R, Chug Bug and Whopper Plopper. Because they make more noise, they seem to get more attention unless there is no ripples on the whatever whatsoever. I also have a Chug'n Spook that worked well for me a few years back. It's a good bait, but from the kayak, it has a tendency to dive after the line gets a little waterlogged.

I've fished the standard spooks for years. I always liked them, but I think the one knocker is better. It has better quality hooks, and seems a little bit easier to walk for me. I havnt caught any really big fish with it yet, but a couple of 14" bass. It's a good bait

Haven't been fishing long and 2019 was my first real bass fishing year. So I have too many to list.

But I'll try:

first bass not caught on a popper. Last summer was my first time and all on poppers.

first 4 pounder.

first 5 pounder.

first time kayak fishing.

first and only time having an argument with another angler haha.

first surf fishing (perch).

first baitcaster.

first time in a jon boat and small aluminum v-hull.

first time I left my 2 rods on the bank when I walked the half-mile back to my truck.

first time running back like an idiot to get them ;)

Caught my First Chain Pickerel.  then figured out how to target them on local water.

Also Purchased and lost my first Lure over $10.  No more jackhammers for me.  Classics will suffice.  Luckily the whopper ploppers float.

Fished four small new-to-me bodies of water, one three-hour visit to each. Here's how I did:

#1: 16 largemouth

#2: 3 largemouth

#3: 5 largemouth and a rock bass

#4: skunked, but got bitten off by something large (pike most likely)

Make that 5 new-to-me bodies of water this year: went to #5 last sunday for 3 hours, caught 1 drop-shotting a roboworm.

That will probably be the last outing I'll have time for this year.

use regular drop shot/split shot hook, with those octupus hooks you really dont even set the hook you just kinda reel into them...i use octopus hooks when wacky rigging and the drop shot hooks have a little bit longer shank

Biggest game changer for me was switching to Owner Cover Shot hooks. I use to nose hook my bait and seemed I snagged a lot and missed a lot of fish. Now I don't snag a hook hardly ever and miss very few fish.

I was going to say my drop shot game changed this year with a hook swap to Owner, too.  I got 1/0 Owner SSW Hooks with Cutting Point and it was a whole new ballgame this year....threw out all my circleoctopus crap won'thooks
