What are your top 5-10 baitcasting rods that you need in your arsenal?

Posted

6'10" Medium Fast

7' Medium Moderate

7' 2" Medium Heavy Fast

7'4" Medium Moderate

7'6" Heavy Fast

7'10" XH Fast

Gets me through everything I need and honestly i could cut a few of those out.

As in brand or ratings???

Mine are all MegaBass or St. Croix, I tend to bring more MH/Fast than anything else.

Usually 3 MH/Fast, 2 M/Mod, and 1 H/Fast in my kayak.

I would have to say

852s nrx spinning 7’1” medium

7’ expride light + spinning

894c glx 7’5” heavy fast casting

884c imx pro heavy fast frog rod

853c nrx casting 7’1” medium heavy extra fast

845c cbr 7’ medium heavy moderate/fast cranking

Posted

7’1”mh fast

6’8”mh fast

7’4” h fast

This does most I need to do, sometimes I’ll add a spinning rod or a medium baitcaster.

6'8" MH-F

6'10" MH-MF

7'5 MH-F

7'1" H-F

In no particular order...other than going down my rod list.

6'6" MLM

7' Glass

7'1" MHF

7'2" MH+F

7' MLF

7' MLR

6'10" MF

6'10" MH-MF

7' MHF

7'2" MH-EF

7'2" MHF

I don't use it nearly enough, but I have a 6'10" HF that I really enjoy using when I do take it out.  Not a broomstick.  Nice tip.  I suppose I don't 'need' them all....I just think I do.  :D
