Tatula sizes

Is there a size difference between a 100 and a 200 series Tatula? I'm thinking about changing all of the bearings in the 2 200's I have, but no one lists them as far as I can find. I know I can take the reels apart and measure but I'm lazy. Please help.

Th 200 reels are physically larger and have bigger spools but I'm not sure if the bearings are any different. I would think no, but don't trust me on that. If you are ordering from boca bearings or someone else you could always call or email them and tell them the model of the reel you are trying to replace bearings for, they would probably be able to tell you exactly what you need.

Changing all the bearings? To corrosion resistant? Just curious what you're trying to accomplish?

 

If anything I would save some moolah and just put (2) 4x7x2.5 on the level wind and possibly your bearings of choice on either side of the spool. Also handle knob bearings are the same dimensions listed.

I've had both reels for a while. I figure the line level and handle bushings are probably worn quite a bit. I don't intend on going full ceramic on any of them. I figure a abec 5 or 7 should make a sufficient difference. I was hoping to get the sizes before winter hit so I had a project while I'm stuck inside.

you don't need abec 5 or 7 in frame bearings. it's useless and you won't notice the benefit. They aren't any smoother at the rate they get used than a SS abec3. For levelwind and handle bearings, just get a SS 4x7x2.5. You can find these on ebay and amazon for cheap in sleeves of 10.  Spool bearings go with Hedgehog ZR on the less expensive end or ZPI/Hedgehog HD on the upper end.
