Over the last 2 years I have been transitioning from lead to tungsten wherever possible.

Problem with tungsten is the cost. I have searched all over trying to find budget tungsten weights.

I ran across a Chinese company called OMfishingsinkers.

During my search, I found an older thread on Bass Resource that mentioned them.

At first I was apprehensive about ordering online directly from an overseas company.

when I saw they accepted pay pal I decided to try it.

The prices are about half of most other tungsten suppliers. If you spend $40.00, shipping is free from China.

It took 15 days, but I finally received my order.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Neko weights are similar to the VMC lead weights but much smaller. Also cheaper.

the bullet weights are smooth with no burrs around the hole.

shakyheads have wide gap scary sharp hooks.

Not sure how viable buying from China will be if the Tariffs keep going, but for now it is a good way to get cheap, quality tungsten.

Over the past two years, I bought about 40% of my tungsten from Siebert and TW when on sale.  OM fishingsinkers the remaining 60%.  I highly recommend OM and Siebert.  TW sale tungsten....well, I just need to pay more attention when I order -- too much of the sale tungsten I've gotten from TW has been really shiny chrome...ok for some applications, but not what I expected

I've switched over to steel for most of mine. It's bigger but not too bad in the 1/8 and 3/16 sizes. When my 1/4 lead runs out, I'll probably look at tungsten for that size and higher.

I like the weights from OM, but the hooks they use are garbage, they bend easy.

Agree.  I still like their weighted wacky hooks, but I fish them on light enough tackle that I have never bent one.

Good to know. I bought 3 shakey heads. Those were not bad. Might stay away from the jigs though.

My issue with the shaky heads was the little lump of tungsten coming detached from the hook, which has happened to all the ones I bought eventually.   I’ve never managed to bend any of them, but again I use relatively light line and tackle with them as well.

I would love to find some tungsten jig heads that I can tie skirts on to but I’ve never managed to find ones that have anything other than a no-name hook.
