Super User Spankey Posted September 18, 2019 Super User Posted September 18, 2019 Hope I’m posting this in the right area. I’m a S.E. Penna. angler and just throwing it out there if getting a fishing get together is possible or there is any interest. I know it’s a bit late for this season but it’s possible for next. I’m willing to do my best to help pull this off. I’ve been involved with this on previous occasions. A lot smaller scale than what this site generates but it is possible to do I would think. Maybe this was something that was done in the past and its time for another one and I’ll be glad to help out. Maybe it is being done already and I’ve never picked up on it. Just a thought that been rolling around in my head. Maybe it is something that takes place already and you guys could use a bit more help in any way. I have not done any type of search here at BR as of now. Might be a huge undertaking due to the distance guys have to travel. Finding the right state ramps. Some are boaters some are yakers. Not sure what the interest is. Certainly not looking for a disaster or failure to happen either. I would want it to be put together well. Appreciate the feedback. 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 20, 2019 Global Moderator Posted September 20, 2019 It's a huge undertaking. Always a good amount of people interested at first, they start to drop off as time gets closer, then a handful show up in the end. We did an unofficial road trip at Table Rock a couple years ago and had about 6 members show up. Quote
Super User Spankey Posted September 20, 2019 Author Super User Posted September 20, 2019 You are probably right. And I don’t want to be on the front end or back end of a failure. Don’t need the stress of that. Bass fishing is not suppose to be stressful. There are are a bunch of you guys on here I’d love to fish with. I have a true respect for your posts and comments. Might be easier to just hook up the puddle jumper and head out to where you guys are. I believe I did read something about Table Rock and if it’s already an established thing I should Jump on board with that. Then for a lot of guys to 80-90 miles one way is not to bad but I guess to haul your stuff hundreds or a thousand miles can be a chore. 6 hours ago, Bluebasser86 said: It's a huge undertaking. I've had the chance to meet/fish with several guys on the board, it's always a pleasure. As for the meet ups and road trips, I've found it to be far more successful to post in the local forums and just do a day meet and greet at a popular local reservoir than it is to try and get a big thing put together.
