I wonder why you're selling it.   It is pretty, and old and has value as a wall hanger.  Assuming it is in great shape internally, it has a deep spool and holds quite a bit of line.  If I decided to fish with it,   I'd load it up with 20 or 30 lb mono or 65 lb braid and use it as a catfish reel.  Maybe , assuming it is in great shape and been correctly lubricated it could throw heavier baits pretty well - maybe put it in the lineup as an A-rig reel.  Not on that rod though - spend the money and get a decent rod.   If you're going catfish rig - decent catfish rods can be had in the $50 to $100 or so range.  You want a strong back bone, but the first foot or so down from the tip needs to be pretty flexible - this aids greatly in setting circle hooks.   If you're going A-rig, there are lots of different price ranges for A-rig rods.

I think that the pistol grip ugly stick that reel is currently mounted on is mediocre at best.\, and I'd only use that rig as is if I didn't have other options.  So, I don't know what that reel is worth.   If you were local I'd offer $50 and say keep the rod.

Your problem with selling on Ebay with the rod is going to be shipping.  It will cost almost as much as its worth to ship it.  I would put it on Craigslist or Facebook and sell it locally if you don't want to keep it as suggested by earlier comments.  I would just keep it.

Yall think that $50 is the max I can get out of it?  It has been well taken care of as you can see in the pictures.....always indoors and it was lubed at one point.  Thanks in advance

It's really hard to say.  I've bought and sold a lot of Ambassadeurs on eBay.  I've bought some in great shape with little or no boat rash for as little as $20 shipped.  I've seen near mint examples fetch upwards of $100 and I've also seen beater looking reels sell for close to that.  I suppose it depends on who's shopping at the time of listing.  The more oddball and/or limited production reels bring the most money.  For instance, if it had side plates that were different from the usual red, silver, or black, it would bring coin.  I've seen reels in purple, sunset orange, chameleon, and electric blue go for good money.  If you want to get the most from it, list it as an auction and take good photos.  If you take poor photos the chances your reel sells for a low price increase exponentially.

They aren't even the same reel.  Totally different era and totally different side plates.  Also, the fact that that seller has 97% feedback should say enough about credibility.

You're looking about a 5-10 year different time frame.

My honest offer I messaged you stands as I am not someone to shortchange anyone on price.
