I have $150 to spend on fall lures

Buy lures that will effectively fish the cover and structure you are likely to encounter . I use the same lures spring , summer and fall .

Yea after making this thread my budget dropped by $90. My buddy showed me his lews mach2 baitcaster and I went and bought one and some flouro. On sale but yea. Its now $60 lol

Maybe you need to check out Glenns video on the top baits for fall fishing. They won't cost you that much and money left over take your girl friend out to dinner.

A few jigs.  A few packs of Keitech or similar swim baits.  EWG hooks.  Whatever worms you fancy.  Pack of ned hooks.  Pack of ned worms.  A jerkbait, you need a jerkbait.  

 

That about does in 60 bucks.

I would definitely get some Jerkbaits but with your money shrinking I'd probably get me some of those Academy H2o Ultimate Jerkbaits (look like Vision 110's) at $6 each. After that I'd get some flat sided crankbaits like the KVD Flat Side 1.5 or the 6th Sense Flat 75x. A few colors in either one of those (or both if you want to spend your money fast). Any left over and I'd get some Owner Flashy Swimmers and a couple packs of River2Sea's D-Walker plastic swimbaits.

I always like to keep a rocket shad handy in the fall.  They always seem to be bustin shad just out of reach of normal lures, and you can cast rocket shad a mile.

Spinnerbaits, if you don't have any/many.  I use the BPS brand because they are pretty cheap.  I like double Colorados for the hard thump.  Big soft plastic boot tails and belly weighted screw lock EWG hooks for them.

 

If you're lacking topwater options, Storm Chug Bug is a great popper/walker hybrid that is on the economical side.

Here I am wishing I had one...

Definitely get some nice top waters. Popper for when they’re eating small things, walking bait for big baitfish and a whopper plopped is what I think. I like the spinner bait idea too

Get some scrounger jigs, especially if you have shad in your lakes... and even if you don't.  Some lipless cranks and like someone else mentioned, paddletail swimbaits.  The eco pro swing shads are only $3.49 a pack for 5, which is almost half the price of Keitech's and they are just as durable with the same great action.  Fish them on a VMC drop dead hook, 4/0-1/8oz.

If you're still fishing from the bank my choices would be a few buzzbaits and a popper or two (fall shallow water), weedless jigs (for later when the temps drop and fishing that heavy cover), a hard jerk bait or two (cold and shallow)and some spinnerbaits.  I've also caught a few on a Johnson Silver Minnow Weedless spoon from the bank in the fall/winter.
