I want to gain confidence with other baits and techniques, but dang it, as long as they keep biting on my beloved jig and spinner combo, it's hard for me to put it down.

Dance with who brought you but remember you are not married to any particular type.  Always bring a 3rd or 4th option just to throw a few times and see how you like it or to practice.

Nice fish! My girlfriend can’t tell a largemouth from a smallmouth. Normally I can’t understand why but those two fish make me understand. Let’s see a pic of this jig/spinner. Like an under spin?

Otherwise known as the old Beetle-Spin - a classic that catches quite a few species.

Similar but the beetle spin didn't have a curly tail.

It's like a spinnerbait but I find it a little more versatile.  You can fish it like a jig or just do a straight retrieve.

I put curly tails on my beetle spin. It's the spinner and jig that make it, not the 'trailer'.

Is that even legal? ;)
