Use mono leader when using walking baits. Braid tends to get tangled up in  any front trebles too much when walking a lure for me.

I use straight Tuf-Line Supercast in 30# size.  It's like the line was designed for topwaters.

Definitely Mono. If I’m fishing thick cover like Pads than Braid.
