Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 27, 2019 Global Moderator Posted August 27, 2019 I have a few different ones. Back in the magical days before the interwebs, that and magazines is where I consumed my bass fishing propaganda and learned a lot of what I learned to get myself started out. Quote
Super User WRB Posted August 27, 2019 Super User Posted August 27, 2019 My generation the only information available on fishing was either national publication magazines, books and local fishing reports in a few news papers. Books specifically on bass fishing were few and far between. My very 1st bass fishing book was signed copy of Lucas on Bass published in the mid 50's written by Sports Afield fishing editor Jason Lucas. My 2nd bass book was Black Bass Fishing by Robert Page Lincoln editor of Outdoor life. The 3rd book was Book of Black Bass by Dr Henshaw and these books started my bass fishing library of over 50 books on bass fishing. Tom PS, BR member Jose Alwine has published 2 bass books; High Percentage Fishing and Lunker Lore. 1 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted August 27, 2019 Super User Posted August 27, 2019 The need for winter reading is substantial up here. So I have acquired a modest collection: 7 Quote
frogflogger Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I go from Henshall, Lucas - through to Knowing Bass - Knowing Bass, Bill Simental and Bill Murphy have been very helpful as was Buck Perry - many bass fishing books are fairly lame but there is usually a jewel somewhere in most of them. Lucas for ethics 1 1 Quote

looking45 Posted August 27, 2019 Posted August 27, 2019 I have an old book, BASS WARS, a Story of FISHING FAME & FORTUNE. It tells the story of being a tournament fisherman. Thins have changed since this book came out but it's interesting to see what was happening in the beginning Quote

I had Erwin A Bauer's Bass Fisherman's Bible many years ago. I remember one quote in the lure section where he predicted a revolution in the industry with regards to soft plastics. Quite the prophet.
