Punching tips? Pennyworts

I have had a little success punching a 1 punch and a pit boss around a little lake I know here in ky it's almost covered in pennyworts almost to the point half the lake is covered I cought 2 off the bank and plan to go back soon on my kayak anyone got any tips or tricks ?

Same. 

 

I didn't get it at first, but now that I’ve got a better understanding of structure fishing, it means the difference between finding fish and getting skunked.
