Hello folks - I've been reading other posts on transducer mounting and haven't yet figured out a solution on my little skiff with a crowded transom.  I picked up a HELIX SI at Cabelas and struggling with the best installation with the transom already crowded with a speedometer, Garmin DI transducer and stabilizer tab.  Seems I may need to move a few things around and really want to get it right the first time.  Any ideas?

Based on the installation guide that came with the H'bird SI, it seems I'm gonna run into issues 1 or 2:   1) ensure 15" distance to the right of the propeller  2) ensure no obstructions in the view of the side looking beams.

If I move the DI transducer to the left, would it be okay to mount the SI transducer directly to the right of the DI transducer as long as the SI was slightly lower to provide clearance?  Any other ideas?

Thanks!

If the DI transducer is in a good location, mount the SI one there and move the DI to the port side of the motor.  I believe that the SI transducer is going to give you DI as well so maybe the original DI can go to the bow if that is an option too.

thanks Dink.  I'm going to keep the old DI and run a cable to the bow.
