5/0 Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 On a drop shot with braid main line would 2 feet of leader from braid connection to hook be sufficient? Quote
JediAmoeba Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 If you are only running a 2 foot leader, why bother? Quote
FishinBuck07 Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 That is probably a little short, the shortest I usually go is 4 foot. Depending on the clarity of the water I am fishing it gets longer from there. Lately I have just put about 20 or more feet of leader on my spool that way I don't have to tie leader material on all the time! Quote

Super User fishballer06 Posted August 21, 2019 Super User Posted August 21, 2019 2' is probably about the minimum for stained water. If you've got clear(er) water, I'd go around 5-6'. 1 Quote
5/0 Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 I’m going to be trying the VMC spin shot hooks. I know it’ll be one extra knot. The 2 feet above the hook would be for visibility reasons, but if there’s no harm in tying hook to braid I’m willing to try it that way. Quote
