Other than the stupid interception in a the 4th Qtr , and the fumble during the exchange with the running back, he played fairly well last night. He actually had decent passing numbers and ran for a a TD, and threw 2. He is actually the best statiscally since Tebow , although that ain’t saying much compared to the competition. That would have to rank as one of the worst played games I’ve ever seen. There was a game last year we played ( against another SEC team in the east )that was probably the worst game played by another team against the gators I ever remember seeing. We may not be championship material yet but I don’t think one game defines a whole season. And we did win ya know!? What bothered Mullen the most were Franks' mental errors. Franks has the physical attributes but he should have more smarts by this time in his career. You got to know when to keep 'em and when to throw 'em. Quote

I’m not saying he’s great but he’s pretty good .He had enough grit to get that last TD for the win. I think he’ll go on to have a good season. LSU looked dominant by the way, which is more than I can say for many SEC teams. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted September 2, 2019 Super User Posted September 2, 2019 Well, I'm not really a Memphis Tiger fan, but beating Mississippi State (SEC) is still a VERY big deal! Quote

He is now developed into an NFL caliber qb. I'm an Alabama fan and I will say watch out for LSU to compete with Alabama. Offensively I was impressed by LSU. Defensively, I saw many holes but mostly I think they were linked to poor conditioning (missing tackles in the 2nd half, defensive lines lack of pressure on Ehlinger, etc) Hopefully Lawrence is healthy as he is an animal at DE. Overall impressed. LSU has a tough schedule and I look forward to seeing the Alabama vs LSU game. Hopefully 2 SEC teams will get into the Playoff. Clemson will be there as there schedule is a joke. After the season is over I think A&M will have 4 losses and be unranked so I predict Clemson will not have an opponent they faced at the end of the season be ranked.... Look forward to seeing the SEC dominant this year (LSU, Alabama, and Georgia). Quote
