The power and action would be too light for my liking on a spinnerbait, or most single hook lures for that matter.

What rod do you usually throw a spinnerbait on?

A MH/Fast

Currently aSt Croix AvidX.

But I also have two Brailists that I would use too.

The FSS wouldn't be my first choice for a spinnerbait rod.

The Spec R works fine if you don't mind the length.

The Witch Doctor Surman 50G is about as good as it gets for spinnerbaits and moving baits in general.

Do you have diablo spec R?

No I don't.

I currently have the Levante 2019 Flatside and Braillist as well as an Orochi XX Braillist.

FSS is ok but not great for spinnerbaits. Spinnerbait special would be my choice. I have a diablo spec r gen1 i use for bladed jigs. Awesome rod for them. Would make a good spinnerbait rod too but i prefer spinnerbait rods a tad shorter for targets.

You wont see them on TW only direct from Witch Doctor.

I have the 6ft 10 MH . It's a great spinnerbait rod but I also use it for walking baits and stick baits like the Mcstick and Vision 110.

It's a graphite/glass  blend blank. Great craftmanship.

How is the balance?

Seems fine. I use  old Citica E on mine and it's right in front of the reel nut.

The diablo is an intriguing rod to me, but from what I have head it is really a MHF rod. More of a texas rig rod in my hands then a spinnerbait rod. I definitely prefer softer rods for reaction techniques. I have never handled an MBR loomis, but it is tough for me to imagine wanting to use a texas rig Stick for spinnerbsits.

GLX 844 or 843 MBR are very versatile tapers. Enough give for a moving bait, but when you lean into it, plenty of tip for a jig. Similarly, I have a Zillion 7’2 MH/R with those characteristics.

Some people don’t like it, but I have no problem with it and hold it a couple different ways depending on the lure.

I use that rod and like it for many treble hook techniques.

I have a pair of new model GLX rods and I am 50/50 on the reel seat.  Some reels are comfortable but an equal number have not been so.   I 100% love the power/taper combo of the mbr rods though.  Between the various  mbr and cr lines I have 6 of them and if I was honest with myself I wouldn't need anything else.

Good point, I didn't like the SV103 on it, but enjoy a Zillion SV TW on it.
