boostr Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Going to be staying at a rental with a dock between Angus and Dresden, and will be taking my boat. How's the fishing on this lake? Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted August 19, 2019 Super User Posted August 19, 2019 Keep the boat on the trailer and go to Cayuga or Conesus. 3 Quote

boostr Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 I'll probably take a day to fish Cayuga it's only 30 min from where were staying. I just need to find a boat launch on the north end of Cayuga. The closest marinas would be on the canal that connects the two, and just motor thru the locks. It was my original plan to stay on Cayuga, but the wife didn't like any of the accommodations that were available and you now how the rest goes. Quote

I'm planning next year's vacations, likely going to get a cabin at Button bay state park (there's an amazing point for catching smallies up there) and maybe spend a week in a lake in Western NY somewhere as I have family out that way and was thinking Seneca Lake. Drive down the west side of the lake and launch at Red Jacket launch. The north end is not the greatest fishing. Another fine lake for SMB and LMB. There's a nice launch facility right in Penn Yan. 1 Quote
boostr Posted September 16, 2019 Author Posted September 16, 2019 @J Francho is correct, speaking to the locals they were telling me the same thing about Keuka Lake. 5 hours ago, J Francho said: Drive down the west side of the lake and launch at Red Jacket launch. Been back for a couple of weeks, Didn't get a chance to fish Cayuga due to weather, but that was the launch I was gonna head to when I scoped out google maps. 1 Quote
