Is it because of a full moon?

My friend and I went fishing last night for some crappie and bass. We did manage some crappie at my usual spot and a lot of tiny bass(he caught all of them and I got skunked). The weird thing was, he caught a huge carp 25-30lbs on crappie jig. Then I managed to catch another but smaller on Texas rig Missilebait baby d bomb. Both of them hooked inside lip not snag. I caught carp on plastic before but not two in the same night. Is it because of full moon or carp in my lake get more aggressive and complete with other fish for food?

Carp are warm water fish so with most lakes being at their peak temps right now, carp are very active and hungry. They'll certainly eat a small lure, I've sight fished several on small jigs.

If you consistently are catching carp when the moon is full and never catching carp when the moon is not full, over a decent period of time, then I could believe that has something to do with it. But based on just one outing, the full moon thing is probably just a fluke. Probably better off listening to bluebasser and paying attention to the other factors that are known to have an effect, like water temp.

I never catch crap on a full moon, probably because I fish in the day. Although it looked close to full last night and I did ok.
