Bass Tracker Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 It's my understanding that 24 volt system is better than a 12 volt system. Quote
Ann-Marie Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Yes two 12 volt batteries in series running a 24 volt motor will do much better than the same batteries in parallel on a 12 volt motor. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 30, 2008 Super User Posted July 30, 2008 I upgraded my trolling motor from 42 to 67 pounds of thrust by going with a 24-volt system and not only do I have more than enough power I do not have to worry about losing battery strength during the day. One of the best upgrades I have made to my Tracker. Go with the 24-volt system if you can. You will not be disappointed. Quote
NewScreenNameAdvised Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 24 volt = more power + longer run time. Quote
bubbler Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 i would say a 24 volt is way better..i need the power cause the lake we fish gets windz, and its big Quote
JShrock07 Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 Do you have to have a 24 volt TM to make it work right?? I have a 41lb thrust TM and it is only rigged up 12 volt. Will I burn up my TM if I rig it 24 volt?? :-/ Quote
