Painter Dude Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 CLEAN- DULL- DRY The surface must be all three of these in order to achieve proper adhesion of any coating. Factory coatings are normally very hard and slick so scuffing the surface (DULL) would be most critical. Quote

NewScreenNameAdvised Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Some food for thought for you.... I had a jon boat back in the day and put roll on bedliner product on the bottom of it. It really helped with scratches and dents. You can get it in different colors, too and match the paint to it. Quote
