Ok guys gosh I'm at a loss , but I'm new here and don't really know where to go , similiar to a post I seen from 2016 ,I'm having a bad issue and my reel is only 2 months old , ok so my reel handle reels very smooth with no load on the line and even sometimes with a lure but I'll go fishing and cast it out( Wich it'll cast a mile smoothly) but om the reel in my handle is really rough when retrieving my lure it'll reel very roughly and I can not for the life of me figure it out , without anything on the line it'll spin freely an smoothly most the time but under tension and in the water the handle is very rough to reel and the rod tip vibrates as well I've checked the rod tip and the guides I see no issues the reel is 11+1 kastking royal legend I know it's a cheaper reel but people swear by them before this issue came up it was absulutely fabulous please help

Repost in rthe Rods and Reels section to ask your question.

My two-cents: either contact Deleware Tackle and mail it to them or take it to guy who repairs reels in Dalton, Georgia, and have them look at it.

The problem could be a number of things and you need to have it checked over by a pro. All we can do is give you guesses.

Is your drag bottomed out; meaning does it need to be tightened?  I’m not clearly understanding the issue you’re having.

Has it been this way since day one? Are you throwing a different lure now (size, weight, depth)? Same rod?

I had a terrible combination tied on today. Tied it on real quick because the lure was on the deck and wanted to throw one of my favorite patterns into this wood pile. But anyway, I was fishing soft plastics primarily today. Was trying a new jig today also. But I tied a Rapala 08 Shad Rap onto a St. Croix Premiere Rod, 7 ft. fast action and a Shimano 3000 Nasci w/ a 6.2 ratio. Felt like crap. Certainly not the right combination. Rod is good, Reel is good just not the right combination for that shad rap. Hope this might help. That rig is retied for soft plastics and was a learning experience to keep shad raps off of it.

Ok so my drag is been working perfectly as with my casting has been smooth on all different kinds of lures and sizes it's really strange I'll cast it out perfectly long far casts but then when I click the reel forward an start feeling the handle or gears or something catches it does not reel smooth it is either a gear feeling or a worm gear feeling idk I've never felt anything like that I've took it apart twelve times probably I see absulutely zero wrong or zero broke and no it wasn't like this out of the box and what's stranger is that without tension on the line it reels smooth and I guess my only option is to send it back to KK but I was trying to avoid that

As others have send back to KK for warranty replacement.

No it's prob I'm the middle most days I'm using power pro 30lb braid so I don't even need drag much but I have it set to where it can pull some line if it's really big . It cast fine an far and just on the retrieve the handle and or gears feel rough but I've had it apart and I can't find nothing broken or stripped
