Looking for opinions on this sunscreen. Years ago I would use this product in the clear formula. It was not greasy, and pretty neutral as far as fragrance, maybe a slight alcohol smell. I would actually apply it pretty heavily before I left my house and then drive to the lake fished that day and would not apply it again when on the water. I would check during and at the end of the day and my skin was as pale then as it was before I applied it. Is this stuff that effective? I've searched articles on sunscreen and found that Bullfrog was not mentioned.

Thanks....Joe

Used to use it in the 90s when I was playing tennis. Pretty good

stuff then. Assume it is the same formula, but haven't used it since

then. Lasted for hours on end. Not sure that helps but FWIW.

I use it. Too hot for gloves right now, so it goes on the back of my hands and wrists where my shirts don't cover, also on the back of my neck in case my hat doesn't shade it. One application last me my entire 3-4 hours out. Don't notice any scent and it does appear to be grease-less.

If you go online and look up Bull Frog Sunscreen you good reviews depending on which of the 5 products they offer.

I am not a fan of clear gels that work on sunlight chemical shift.

My skin is toast from decades of neglect in tropical bright sun so the past 2 decades I use what my dermatologist recommends and it's not Bull Frog.

When Bull Frog first came out, it was one of the finer sunblocks available.

Since then there is a host of others that outperform it and are safer.

lifeguards have been advised not to use it, but I can’t remember the ingredient they were trying to avoid.

That famous Consumer site that Reports rated Trader Joe's Spray SPF 50 number one in sprays and Bullfrog Land Sport Quick Gel SPF50 number two in lotions just this year.

I use this because it's about half the price of other brands and it works great. I spend entire days in the kayak with no problems.

Amazon Brand - Solimo Sport Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50 Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB Protection, 8 Fluid Ounce

I don't get in the water so I'm not worried about destroying reefs with the ingredients (ie Hawaii).

Sprays suck unless you like wasting product and getting it in your eyes and mouth, and possibly other people's as well.

I have just started to use it this year, seems like it lasts longer than most others.  Also it big repellent mixed in it and it doesn't have deet!  Seems like it keeps the bugs away very well also!  So far I am happy with it!

I have used it in the past and liked the fact it had some bug dope in it. Seemed to work as good as the Coppertone and BananaBoat.

I went to Neutrogena this year and doubt I go back to anything else. I have learned to fish in pants and sleeves leaving only my neck, face and hands exsposed. The Nuetrogena has been excellent for my pale ass skin.

My dermatologist tells me to get sunscreen with zinc oxide in it.

You know, the white stuff life guards wear on their face and nose.

I got some at Walmart. Neutrogena has it, too.

You will look silly wearing it but at least you can be secure in knowing it is the best defense against the sun and skin cancer.

I used to use the spray but it was only SPF 30 As a sunscreen and a bug repellent it worked fine in both areas.

These days I use Banana Boat Simply Protect sunscreen. Its reportedly formulated with no added oils, fragrances, oxybenzone or parabens. Simply Protect products provide SPF 50+ broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and are sweat and water resistant.

After protecting myself from all those chemicals I spray myself liberally with Repel Sportsman Max bug repellent :crazy1:
