BassCats Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Does anyone know the history of this company? Anyone have any ideas or knowledge on the so called “bite juice” that is in the plastics? Quote
j bab Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 It's a family company that started in 2008. Bite Juice is a proprietary mixture of ingredients including anise and a couple other things. 1 Quote
CarpCasey Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 They're my main plastic company along with berkley. Nice balance of value and performance imo 1 Quote
BassCats Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 Where did you learn that they use anise I couldn’t find anything about the bite juice. Thanks for the info you were able to provide. Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted August 6, 2019 Super User Posted August 6, 2019 All I know is they get big bites from fish, hence the name and I can get them as low as $1 sometimes per bag, which is a great deal. Quote
GrumpyOlPhartte Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I don’t know if this contributes directly to this thread, but there is a site called xtackle.com which has a pretty extensive array of Big Bite baits. I was surprised at the variety. Note that this is NOT an endorsement of the site since I have never used it, but, those interested in this line might be surprised at the number of products available. Thanks for the info you were able to provide. He works for them The Yomoma is one of my go to flipping baits. Caught a new lake PB on one a couple weeks ago, then won big bass and the tournament with a different color one last week. The new swimon bladed jig trailer is money too. Hopefully it will be available in some other colors eventually, but the action and durability has been great. Politician colored Yomoma, lake PB. Black Neon/watermelon red, Thursday night big bass and first place. 5 Quote

Academy seems to carry pretty much the whole line of Big Bite Baits and they are priced really well. I use a bunch of their different shapes and they catch fish. The Yomama, Craw Tube, Cane Thumper, Fighting Frog, Squirrel Tail worm and Suicide Shad are all baits I've used with success. Quote

Big Bite Baits has their own site. https://bigbitebaits.com/ I was also surprised when I first saw how much stuff they made that I have never seen. I wish my local retailers carried more. 1 Quote

And when you do it is the $1.00 sample type packs. Quote
