mattm Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Thanks everyone for the help and support. Finally bought a boat. '06 Bass Cat Puma w/ a 225 Merc Pro XS optimax. Lucked out and found one with a little more than 3 years warranty years warranty on it. Quote
BassChump Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Wow!!!!! That is a work of art. No kidding. That's about the most beautiful boat I've ever seen. Beats the heck out of my 25 year old trophy. Makes me want to go spend a gozzillion dollars. I don't have it but if I did, I want that boat. lol. Great catch. Congratulations. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 19, 2008 Super User Posted July 19, 2008 Good buy. And the fishing platform looks like you will have a lot of room, too. Nice color combo. Have fun and send us some pics. Quote
JShrock07 Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Great looking boat!!!! It would match my truck haha Quote
Jake P Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 Im glad you got things sorted out Matt and decided on something, very very nice boat, congratulations. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted July 20, 2008 Super User Posted July 20, 2008 Bass Cats are one of the top of the line boats. You will certainly turn some heads on the water. Congradulations. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 21, 2008 Super User Posted July 21, 2008 Sweet looking boat Matt and on getting some warranty! Quote
mattm Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 Thanks everyone. on getting some warranty! Five.bass that was something that was super important to me. In fact I had just about giving up on used and decided to go new when I stumbled onto this boat. All the used boats w/ a lot of warranty had owners that were very proud of them. As they should of been. Turns out this boat belonged to a guy that only crappie fished. The motor only has 27 hours on it. The crappie fisherman traded it for a center console kenner, 2 side imaging units and cash. I guess the dealer was really able to buy the boat right since he was having to give the guy cash. I was pretty shocked what I was able to get into it for. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 21, 2008 Super User Posted July 21, 2008 I'm on the hunt for a new ride right now.....only problem is Gambler's are hard to find, and a Gambler that is not white is even harder to find. I may have to buy a new one but I really dont want to. I'd rather someone else buy it new, knock the first $10 grand of depreciation off of it before I buy it. Sounds like thats what happened in your case. Nothing wrong with that. Glad you got a good deal....enjoy it! Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 AWSOME RIG MATT!!!! I know you worked hard to find it and it looks like it was all worthwhile! That boat looks steller! Let somebody else take the hit and step and buy it right! Again; she is certainly sweet and I know you are going to enjoy fishing and 'showing it off' around the lake! Happy Releasing, H.G. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 PS- would it be possible to get some more pictures of her?? Quote
mattm Posted July 21, 2008 Author Posted July 21, 2008 I'll get some more when I get her home. Didn't want to go overboard with just the cell phone camera. Picking her up tommorow. Quote
IneedAnewScreenName9886691 Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Excellent! I know you are on pins and needles!! CONGRATS! will be checking back for the additional pictures! Quote
UPS VT Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I am jealous, I hope to find a nice used boat like that some day. Quote
Super User flechero Posted July 22, 2008 Super User Posted July 22, 2008 mattm, Congrats on the boat!!! Was thast pic taken at Broxton's? If memory serves me correctly, that blue building is right behind Broxton's Marine. (in Temple) Maybe it's just a coincidence. But that would also be a good reason for you to be at Belton today! Quote
mattm Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 Thats was the reason, Flech . What do you know about the folks at Broxton's? They seem real nice so far. Quote
Super User flechero Posted July 23, 2008 Super User Posted July 23, 2008 I have nothing but good to say about Broxton's... they deliver what is promised. And they have been on time. They actually fixed what another shop (in waco) screwed up.... and had 3 attempts to fix. (long story) I would have started with Broxton's but they just moved to the I-35 location in the last year or so. How did you do at Belton? Quote
mattm Posted July 23, 2008 Author Posted July 23, 2008 All I got to do yesterday was pick up the boat. Wish I could of got out, but oh well. Quote
