Just got around to watching it today. Wow, Wheeler put on a display. That being said, I was disgusted by the way Tak, A-Mart, and Ike basically went and fished the same water in period 2. Tak was within a few feet of him at times. I would have been livid. In fact, I don't think Jacob was very happy about it. Pretty poor sportsmanship in my eyes. Aaron even threw shade at Jacob on camera calling him arrogant. Well he has every right to be, since he literally destroyed him by 40 lbs. I lost a lot of respect for those guys after watching that.

I agree with you 100% and if you ever watch any of the episodes where martens is killing it he is the cockiest of them all. Even more so than Ike I think. They are my two least favorite pro fisherman. With Ike taking the lead over martens for my dislike by a long shot. Cannot stand that guy

I mentioned it on another thread, this isn't the first time we've seen this from martens. Watch the Louisiana Delta classic that KVD won , the day that square bill sales skyrocketed

CBS last Sat from 1-2. For me, on DISH, that was Ch. 4. Looks like it will re-air this Sat from 2-3 ET on CBS Sports Network

Dang it! I have Dish too, but I dropped a package over the winter because there was only one channel we watched. That package included CBS Sports Network. I didn’t know they were airing these on CBS. I don’t ever watch that channel.

Hate the way they package like that, but it’s obviously intentional. I paid for the package just to be able to watch MLF on the Outdoor Channel since everyone moved  to that circuit including Wheeler.

I've been following his YouTube channel since about the time he started it I guess. Some of my buddies get annoyed with all the giggling and off the water jazz, and I suppose I could see that, but I really like it most of the time. There's always fast forward if you don't like watching them rate sushi restaurants from 1-10! Dustin connell also cracks me up in a lot of the wheeler videos, and now he has his own channel too

I'm a sub to Wheels channel myself.

Learned quite a bit and certainly appreciate that aspect of his presentation.

It's interesting after watching events live MLF, BASS & now PBT and then watching the 'broadcast' especially after the 'edit'.  Seems very simply to cut & paste and turn most anything into whatever they want it to be.

Sometimes it represents what actually happened (or what I may have felt was the general mood or feeling of the event).   Other times - doesn't even seem like the same event.

Not a fan of that but at this point believe that is more the norm than the other way around.

Yester years tournament anglers would shudder at the fact that he displays what he is using and how he does it to the whole world via the Internet. As it turns out, he is just better at fishing than most people on the planet and trying to beat him at his own game doesn't work. I really like and respect that about Wheeler. On a much smaller scale, I always have a couple buddies that think I'm crazy for posting fish pics on forums, but the wealth of friends and information I have acquired from the forums is something I really enjoy (thanks

@Glenn). Therefore I really don't care what they think and my catch rates have gone up instead of down

Brody (the guy behind Wheeler’s videos) does an awesome job. I do like watching both his and the broadcast versions though because I do like to see what is going on with the other guys  during the tournament, especially their reactions to ScoreTracker.

On the showing stuff front, Jacob has seen all the feedback and comments about how many consider him one of the best “explainers” on Tour. As such, he is simply trying to capitalize/expand on that aspect as his ‘niche.’ The sponsors pay the bills, so focusing on that behind the scenes detail not only builds viewership, but also highlights products in use, and is a win-win all the way around.

Telling people WHAT to throw and WHERE to throw it isn't really giving away the secret. The secret to success is knowing WHEN to throw something somewhere. Understanding the conditions that dictate fish behavior is not exactly something people can simply learn and apply. Wheeler has that. Most of his competitors never had it or are losing it.

I get the outdoor channels, I think I pay $3/month as sort of an a la carte. I lost CBS Sports but still have FS1 go figure. I did also lose Fox Sports Detroit but since the Tigers and Wings are going to suck for the foreseeable future I’m not missing anything.

Mr Wheeler certainly does make it all look very easy.

Always seems to be doing the right thing at the time.

The Lions are on regular Fox. They’ve been horrible since before I was even a glimmer in my daddy’s eye. There was a Lions stat a few years ago. If I remember correctly it went something like this, Tom Brady has lost more Super Bowls than playoff games the Lions have played. So the Lions have never been on my radar. ?

Haha. I loved watching Barry Sanders as well as mega Tron . Lions really weren't bad about 2-4 years ago, they got mildly jobbed out of the playoffs by the boys in stripes I feel like. Don't give up on them, ive been a Cubs fan since about 1990 and they somehow broke the curse

I watched it and was ticked for JW; they honed right in on "his spot" and I just found it very un-sportsman like.  But I guess if it's not against the rules and the lure of money is strong enough people set aside their values.
