Super User iabass8 Posted October 18, 2019 Author Super User Posted October 18, 2019 If anybody is having issues with saving their lineup via the app or your lineup not taking or add/drops not taking let me know asap for the Thurs night game. Some app update to fix the crashing on my phone kept reverting lineup changes in our league and wouldn't let me drop others in other leagues. Ill adjust your lineups if you let me know. Im going to fix mine in the morning. The app update, for those that have this problem, fixed having to launch the app multiple times before it would load your team. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted October 20, 2019 Author Super User Posted October 20, 2019 So if anybody noticed....I made some changes to the trade deadline (matched it up 1week after /w the NFL trade deadline) and turned the undropable list off as well as made sure I could add/drop people as LM for 0$ in case that happened to one of you. Doing this also deleted my waiver claim I put in this morning before the games started . I'm going to drop that player and still put a bid on the player I need. Also if anybody sees any of these random DST discrepancies that are happening...let me know. Other leagues DST scores seem to differ league to league w the same scoring. This ESPN revamp for this year is annoying.... also..if anybody knows ESPN's new top secret BS way to turn waivers off on Sunday so you guys don't have to wait a full day on a Sunday to add drop...let me know....nobody seems to be able to figure it out. They did something to FAAB this year that stops it but they say it's possible to turn off. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted October 21, 2019 Author Super User Posted October 21, 2019 just tried turning Sunday waivers off and that didn't work..if anybody all of a sudden doesn't have claims...my bad. holler at me and i'll fix it. I'm done tinkering...I know there's a way to turn waivers off on Sunday like in years past but I can't figure it out..Not sure if anybody notices but the waiver times between when the add drops are set for (4am) and when they say they will process (3am) on your pending moves is always off 1 hour..no idea why that is this way either but it's so early it should not matter...might be switching to CBS next year guys...back down the reddit I go.. Global Moderator Mike L Posted October 21, 2019 Global Moderator Posted October 21, 2019 Luke I haven't noticed that but I don't use the app. Never did. You just do what you think is best. Mike Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 21, 2019 Super User Posted October 21, 2019 Quick question on the waivers. I have never played where you bid and only could add once a week so I am a little confused how it works. Might be why I am almost out of money already lol. If I want to add player A by this weekend I need to put a bid in for him. But if I don't get him then am I just SOL for this week? Would I need to bid on player A and bid on another player, player B, to ensure I get at least one of them? That being said, I do not need both (this is what has happened to me already) so I don't want to bid on 2 players. I guess what I am asking is, if I have a bid in on a player for this week but I don't get him, then am I just screwed? Also, if I bid $6 on a player does that mean that someone ahead of me on the waiver wire must bid at least $6? If someone bids $3 do I get him for $4 or do I still have to pay $6? Sorry, I've never played this format, it was always free drops and free adds as long as they were on waivers. Quote

The main waiver period is Tue night/wed morning. Whomever bids the most on a player wins that player. If there is a tie in the money bid, the person with the lower waiver order gets the player. After tue/wed, you are free to pick up anyone you want and there is a waiver period every night. You can get more than one player at a time and during a given week, as long as you drop corresponding players from your roster. If you bid $6 and win, it costs you $6 regardless of what anyone else bids. I think what Luke is talking about is waivers have been turned off completely on Sundays so that no one can make changes before games start on sunday. This hasn't effected me though so I'm not 100% sure. Quote

So if I wait till after Wed. of this week then I can add and not have to bid on a player? Just trying to figure it out before I am out of money lol. Thanks for the response. Quote

After wed you should be able to add and drop players on a daily basis, the process is the same as the tue/wed deadline. You still have to bid but you're usually bidding against less people (bid less money) since most people pick up players wed. Just make sure you drop a corresponding player. If it is unsuccessful it probably means someone outbid you. It is the exact same process as the wed waiver but it happens every day. Also, if you bid on a player and don't get him, go to our league main page and it shows all transactions for the day so you can see if someone else got the player and outbid you. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted October 21, 2019 Author Super User Posted October 21, 2019 So waivers work like this: you started with a $100 budget and there is a minimum bid of one dollar per transaction. The only time waiver priority comes into play is if team a and team b bid the same amount. When you could, you are bidding to win that player. All you need to do is outbid someone and you get that player. Unless of course there is a tie in the person with waiver priority gets that player. waivers run every morning except Tuesday. The soonest a player is available to be picked up is listed next to the clean button. So if you need a player Thursday night, you need to put in a bid Wednesday night or before 3 AM on Thursday if you want to get technical. The same goes for the Sunday games. If you need somebody on Sunday then you need to put in a claim on a player Saturday. Here’s where ESPN screwed up this year… In years past they were two different types of faab options. Now there is only one. Are used to be able to just turn the bidding off And you could add drop as you please all Sunday morning before the games and the same goes for Monday. For some reason nobody can figure out how to turn that function back on. It years past you could add drop as you please on Sunday morning before the games and the same goes for Monday. For some reason nobody can figure out how to turn that function back on. It’s really stupid because it screws people on Sunday morning. so here’s what I’m going to do.... if you miss someone on Sunday From Saturday’s claims, you can send me a message on here with the person you want to drop for what other player do you want ( or if you have an open bench spot you can just simply tell me who you want to add) and then put your bid amount that you would like to spend. I will adjust your roster and deduct it from your budget as long is you are the high bidder for a person. There’s no reason to not have open waivers on Sunday morning. I will do the same for Thursday’s game and Monday’s game as long as that person is playing that day. Also , The player that you want to drop must be on your bench. All bids are due 15 minutes prior to kick off of the players game you are trying to add. If you did not get the player and someone outbid you, I will let you know after the claim is over. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted October 21, 2019 Super User Posted October 21, 2019 It seems like in previous years players went to waivers for the main tue\wed waiver period and then were considered free agents after they cleared waivers and could be added immediately. The only players on waivers after wed were players that were dropped off of a roster on wed, they went to waivers for Thursday. Quote

As soon as a person became a free agent you could in years past just pick them write up that same second and now you can’t. Il going to write up something later today and tag everybody on how its exactly going to work . Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 21, 2019 Super User Posted October 21, 2019 So it is going to cost $ no matter when and it doesn't matter what you bid unless it is a tie? So if I bid $10 for a player and someone bids $3, I still have to pay the $10? Just trying to figure it out since we are half way through the season and my money is going fast. I wasn't (guess I'm still not) certain how that worked. I assumed you would only get charged for $1 more than the next highest bid, could be why my money went so fast. That is what i get for assuming lol. 13 minutes ago, Jrob78 said: It seems like in previous years players went to waivers for the main tue\wed waiver period and then were considered free agents after they cleared waivers and could be added immediately. I thought once they cleared waivers they were a FA and could be picked up (at least that's how I always had played). That's why I couldn't figure out how to add players last weekend without having to put in a bid, and not understanding how the bidding worked I didn't know when I would get them. Quote

Super User iabass8 Posted October 21, 2019 Author Super User Posted October 21, 2019 @Jrob78 @Mike L @smallies24/7 @FordsnFishin @jbsoonerfan @ohboyitsrobby Here is how waivers are going to work going forward. You are to continue using the current FAAB system that is in place. ESPN took away the option to make Sunday a rolling waiver period where you could add/drop prior to the games. On Thursday night prior to the game, Sunday prior to the game , and Monday prior to the game, you can PM me what player you need to add/drop and the BID amount you want to bid on a player. These bids must be in 30 min prior to when the game starts for the player you want to add . I will not add/drop a player for you days in advance. A player MUST be on your bench if you want to drop him. This is basically just used for emergencies, late day inactives that came out of nowhere, of you need a player for that day.For example if you wake up Sunday morning, waivers ran , and you missed out, this is the time you would PM me for what you want to do. Same goes for Monday night and thursday night. Keep in mind, these bids are still blind. I'll let you know if won/lost when the waiver period ends. Using this system will be rare (or at least it should be) but it's here for emergencies. To clear up how waivers do work: They run every day except Tuesday . What you bid is what you pay (assuming you win). Once that 100$ is gone, your waiver's are done for good. It has to last through the playoffs if you get there. A player is only available to be picked as soon as they clear waivers and become a Free Agent. That day is listed next to their name. This is very important for you guys on Sunday if you need an emergency add/drop. I know this is kind of confusing but blame ESPN......probably switching to CBS next year. 2 Quote

Super User jbsoonerfan Posted October 24, 2019 Super User Posted October 24, 2019 It's me again Margret. I guess I still don't don't get it. I tried to claim Kirk Cousins off waivers yesterday so I could play him in tonight's game (expecting I would have him this morning). I put my bid in and everything and I didn't get him and it shows him as still available. What did I do wrong? It said Thursday out beside every players name. Now it says Friday beside their name unless they are playing tonight and it says Wed. I thought a day ahead of time was plenty of time to claim someone. Sorry, I thought I had it under control LOL. There is a max of 2 QB on your team. If you weren't dropping lamar or jacoby, then you could not pickup Kirk. If you want to drop one of your QB for him, PM me your bid and which QB you want to drop for him and i'll adjust your line up being Kirk plays tonight. I am giving others the opportunity to bid on same day players as well so I'll let you know 30 min before kickoff if you got him or not. Quote
